Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody on Monday (15) said that a special party leaders’ meeting will be held tomorrow to discuss the no-confidence motion against the Finance Minister.

Speaking to Asian Mirror, Weerakkody said that the details about no confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunananayake will be discussed in the meeting.

Following constant demands from the opposition, the government agreed to allow the debate on the no-confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake on July 4.

However, recently in parliament, the opposition demanded the debate to be taken up this week. House Leader Lakshman Kiriella responded saying that July 4 was the day decided by the government.
